ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A Missouri high school student is being praised for an impressive accomplishment. James Jura, a junior at Central High School in St. Joseph, obtained a score of 36 on the ACT test.
That's commonly known as a perfect score and it's very rare. Nearly two million students take the ACT in the U.S. every year, and fewer than half of 1% nab that perfect score.
The St. Joseph School District said in a press release that Jura is an athlete who participates in soccer, basketball and track. He is also a member of the American Chemical Society and volunteers at the Samaritan Center.
